Empress Antonia

Empress Antonia was brought up with reggae music all around her, listening to classics such as Janet Kay and Dennis Brown to Third World and The Mighty Diamonds. Her first venture into singing was as part of a soul covers band. After many years of gigging with the band, she decided to return to her roots and started recording reggae tracks in 2010 after teaming up with producer Crucial Steve.

Since 2010, Empress Antonia has recorded tracks and special vocal dubplates for soundsystems. Her debut song on Righteous Works “Roots Woman” is the B-side to Simeon Levi’s Unity (RW001). Empress Antonia is an up-and-coming artist in the UK roots scene and has many more tracks to be released in the future on Righteous Works.
